also virtualdub, though installing the mp3 codec for encoding is somewhat bothersome due to its illegality. but virtualdub does well with avi's.
i have the same problem with premier pro. i have been editting dv quality video then when i export it it comes out to like 500 megs. and when i pick other type it goes super bad quality etc. any help?

haha mikey i use that for uber low quality vids.
If you've got vegas, render it using the xvid codec on either "best" or "good" quality, that gets the file size down. For a 2min vid its usually under 100mb...ish.
i try to have a super full quality version, then AGK it, then make a vegas rendered xvid version.
HQ = 400mb
Xvid = 40
LQ = 10

How to some people have really high quality quicktime files where the video screen is quite small. Anyone know?
