Spotting problems

I have a question.
Now I have a friend that likes tricking too but
1:we can't afford to rent a gym
2:he never helps me with spotting

So I was thinking.
I have enough space in my living room for a BHS.
Is it ok to learn it without a spotter as long as I learn it in steps?(I have a few matrasses)
I was thinking of going into a bridge and then jump over and transition that into a BHS.

Any comments or tips?

fuck the matresses, just make your friend spot you! thret him or something, and do it on grass the livingroom is crap against GRASS!

make sure your friend is fucked up like mine O_o when i tryed one todays insteat of fliping me around when i fucked up he put his hand in front of my knee and lets just say i died

can I learn the backflip and BHS by myself without killing myself(even if it takes longer to learn)
