View Full Version : Aerial twist help (vid)
i always seem to twist too early in this move, and i'm having a lot of trouble stalling and waiting until i'm completely vertical before i twist, either i don't jump enough or i rush this move
Any tips?

dude, u need 2 get more height and speed in ur aerial before tryin the aerial twist... thats my tip
^i have more than enough height and speed in my aerial, it's the aerial twist i'm asking abuot, i'll upload a vid of my aerial in a moment
Hmmm. Your technique seems fine, I don't see how you're not landing that... that's weird... yeah, try going for more height, and really rip those arms to the side to twist you round.
I love the green wall, you're about to crash into it, and the guy behind you doesn't even do a trick and he almost crashes too XD
haha thanks guys, but my aerial twist technique doesn't seem to fit with my aerial technique, it looks like i'm going for two different approaches
anyone else?
Well, some argue that an aerial twist is actually more of a "webster twist" - since you generally land two-footed. So it doesn't necessarily have to be a genuine "aerial which is then twisted".
Looks good I could do them really well of a log, but couldn't get them on floor all I ahve to say is good job, but aybe throw your arms harder.

actually, my a-twist lands feet separate, first on the foot i take off on, then the leading foot... and lak... your attempts look nice... you're definitely NOT twisting too early... in fact, everything about it is nice, except ONE thing... lunge OUT more... you really have to focus on that... since you apparently have a decent aerial already, you know that to land the aerial initially, you had to concentrate on lunging out, in order to get the hang time you needed to get over... also, you had to concentrate on throwing your leading leg up as hard as you could, right? well, that's what you have to do with the atwist again... concentrate on lunging out, and getting that leg up first... and don't try to land on both feet either... you're MUCH more likely to land it if you stick out the leg you took off on... and if you get enough height to start hypering it, it becomes a kind of swipe...

Stall more. Stall much more. It looks like youre just running dipping and twisting. There's no discernable jump.

yes, you need to go UP, not necessarily stall. you arent jumping at all it seems

You need to stall until your lifting leg is way in the air, or basically just until your jumping leg is barely leaving the ground.
