jesus christ its a front flip... if u hadda told me that i woulda just given u the advice before watching it. a front flip consist of 3 moves. run, JUMP and flip... ur doing 2 of those moves.. ur doing run, flip... weres the jump???? .. run JUMP UP IN THE AIR..straight UP not foward UP.. when u hit the max hight then comes the flip part

edit.. with a fucked hamstring u should NOT be doing front flips.. especially the fact that u cant land em. the landing is hard and will fuck u up more

noriko summed it up. Just stall your flip/tuck.

when stalling, sometimes you dont get as much turn... so you gotta rely less on your forward momentum and more on your inner body strength as you have no force to create from the ground

You're lucky you can actually do the move.

nah not me... on the frontflip i get to my crouched land on legs unbalanced position and i usually brace my arms

so therefore, i am not able to frontflip yet

I have been working on my frontflip and I have found that starting with your arms up like that is the worst way to do a frontflip, a least on hard floor. I tried starting with my arms foreward an swinging them backwards then up and went from landing just like that to almost standing up.

got a video? i dont fully comprehend the arm swing up altho i was told do it as when i put my arms up like i did in the video....they are pretty much useless

grow some balls man. stalling is scary? well, hate to tell you this, but the only way you're going to get a nice front flip is by learning how to stall, and this applies for most tricks. so quit being a pussy and do it.

the colours are all messed, i just video taped 1 front flip, its my least practiced trick, i've probably done less than 50 ever, but this technique helped me

i have a pretty good front flip, and do double fronts on plyo and i have always found it easier to do it with a reverse arm circle into a straight up launch but there are several techniques including a russian style front with a different set completely.

double front with reverse arm cirle teqnique(has full routine but just need first pass): http://media.putfile.com/Prelims-set-at-nationals

russian style front: http://media.putfile.com/russian-front-flip

You're doing the same as I do - we need to stall :)

I'd like to see a vid of you on grass, that technique seems very plyo specific.

omfg dovicka how the hell did you manage to land standing on that frontflip?!
no offence but your take-off seems really weak and still you can land that shit standing, you really have sick flips man, props!

its all the technique, when i run fast i panic and land the in crouch, like i said its my least practiced move, its all the technique

very true.....one should for best tricks of any kind, go at a comfortable pace, its common sense that my gymnastics instructor enforced...need to keep body under control i guess, but yea im with the other dude.....wow how the fuck did u land that standing....worked on arm swing technique on tumbletrak today to get more comfortable with it, its a bit confusing

i have a similar prob, i usually leap forward not up. so it turns out into an aerial dive roll.
