I was pondering this a while ago, just thought I'd see what you guys think. You know rising kicks, like, where you jump off one leg and kick with the other (like a gainer without the flip)? Well, I can do those over most average door frames, and I was wondering if this kind of technique will carry over into the height I can get when attempting gainers?
Also, is ~2m a good height for a two-footed jumping kick? Just thought I'd ask...

Judging by your display pic and what you described, it sounds like you easily have enough height for a gainer.

If that's not what you were asking then ignore me. I didn't 100% understand what you were asking.

You certainly hit the nail on the head, Cap'n,

Yes you will be able to physically jump high enough to gainer but that's not all there is to that trick, technique comes into it, if you don't delay then a jump like that isn't much good to you.
