Right first off im sorry for starting another aerial thread.
I jus learnt to do a very b-kick type aerial 2day, its the best i can do at the moment. I do them from standing because i just feel more comfortable than taking a run up for some reason. Heres a vid

I need advice on getting it looking nicer and more inverted.
Thanks

well I can teel you one thing: stop with those side 2 side aerials and go for the running ones.... just do a lot of one handed cartwheels until you feel they are very fast then try to dive into them waiting as long as you can before putting your hand down and using it like jui in his tut.... also remember to use the other arm to turn your torso toward the front..... after some practice you will feel that your hand touch the ground almost at the same time of your leg and then put more and more power.... it's all there is to it.
if you have problems with height or other things just search more tutorials (TKD andy's one is great) and practice again.....Hope I can help..... good luck!

would you class my 'aerial' as an actual aerial or jus a b-kick?

i'd have to disagree with virgil, keep working on the side to side ones even if u do decide to learn the gymnastic aerial. side to side/ karate/ tricker aerials are 10x easier to put into kick combos where as gymnastic ones are pretty much impossible except for axe-aerial.

yeah ur doing an aerial, its slanted, but its an aerial. keep doing urs and eventually you'll get it more straight over. and once u get a pretty good looking side to side aerial its easy to go to a gymnastic aerial, cuz ur alrdy used to the motions

i actually prefer how side2side aerials look. maybe im jus biased cos they are the only ones i can do

Well if you want the aerial to make kicks combo then side aerials are good but I suggest you to learn even the gymnast aerial if you want to learn brandys, axe2aerial etc...but yes you can train your side aerial 'till it's almost vertical and then go for the gymnast one...

the aerial that u r doing is not from a b-kick step. It is the aerial that most people do. The link below is an aerial done from a B-kick step

it was the first one I did, and i thought it was easy because it flew naturally. Anyhow, enjoy

Dude thats a pretty sweet aerial for your first ever, i think i may try doing the wushu step thing before it, it looks like it flows smoothly

First time I learnt the trickster aerial, my side was so fucking sore the next day that I...

Scratch that, I can't remember what I did that day, but doing too many aerials will only result in one thing: Pain and suffering and possible death.. :wonder:

yeah the b-kick setup works very nicely for me. when i do just a step in, i tend to do more of a gymnastic one so its harder
