i agree with biyak, there's nothing to be scared of, it's just a damn flip
i was really scared of this move for awhile, just go out in your yard and chuck it its REALLY easy backflips easier but its way easier than a front cuz you can spot the landing to some extent.
if youve been tricking you know that theres only ONE way to get over fear of ANYTHING: GO OUT AND DO THE FUCKING MOVE.

um for blocking, you kind of land with ur legs slightly bent and extend them when they hit the ground, ur not gonna run, bound, feet hit ground, legs bend, jump, flip.
and yeah i was pretty scared when trying all the flips (i've tried and landed all the flips before, but i can pretty much only do a front flip consistently and decently).
sideflips were probably the scariest, cuz backflip i had a spotter. all the advice that i can give you would be to do the run bound and punch take off without the tucking and you'll feel dragged to the side and may stumble or fall over when u land. then just tuck ur legs in when ur in the air and you'll flip.

I got my sideflip on first try. I don't get all the fuzz about it. It's really an easy move, run, jump, turn 90°, stall, flip and land..
