Do you train both sides of your body to stay balanced? I was going all out on moonkicks the other day, and later on that night, when I was doing leg raises, one side of my abs felt like they were doing all the work.

Is this a real question?

in any exercise you have a dominant side. With tricking, most skills can be done only on one side. However, when exercising you should train both sides. You don't want to have the hulk on ur right side and a twig on the other. Stay balanced. That was a pretty lame question though.

haha this reminds me of a comic i saw once of some guy with a huge arm on one side and a puny arm on the other....it was implying frequent masturbation.

yep.

wish i had the pic to back this up because this post is pretty lame.

:bandit: this smiley makes it better though.

You're semi-retarded if you don't.

Sorry guys, what I actually meant was training your tricks on both sides, i.e. doing moonkicks on alternating legs, 540s on both sides, aerials/sideflips on both sides, etc.

NOT working out/exercising both sides

If that's what you guys were thinking anyway, though, I guess I am a retard because I can't butterfly twist worth a damn on my weak side.

No, I don't trick on both sides because it is a waste of time.

Absolutely. I don't think you can say you have a trick until you can do it on your weak side.

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense.

And yes, I do train tricks on my weak side (540, moonkick, bkick, roundoff fulltwist, that's all so far).

But why do you do it if it doesn't make any sense?

Probably because he has an interest in learning tricks on both sides. What doesnt make any sense is your comment.

I look at it this way; if you could only throw kicks and punches with one side, you wouldn't be considered a very good martial artist. I feel that if you can only do your tricks on one side, then you aren't a very good tricker. Asymmetry is bad. I hate the idea of having a weak side.
