i know i'm supposed to jump up. i know you're supposed to swing your arms up and back behind your head buh when i do this, it archs my back naturally which i know i'm not supposed to do. it's wierd. how do i keep my back from arching and keep it straight?

the problem is you are throwing your head back, i had that problem for a good while and still do a little bit. practice practice practice, try looking at a rooftop while going up for the tuck, this will force your body up and to not arch as much

look forwards the entire time. never through your head back.

Pick a spot in front of you, and look at it until you tuck. the tuck should rotate you. Try and get a tiny lean if possible. And a thing that is really helping me at the moment is trying to knock my shoulders out of joint with my knees. That really turns you fast!

It's probably because you're tucking too slow and your feet reach your shoulders or chest too slow, try tucking maybe a splitsecond faster
