Don't be afraid to land on your back, because the problem most people have with handstand is the fear of landing on your back and knocking out your breath. A way to prevent this, is just landing in a bridge like way, then you won't land on your back and your feet will make the landing soft.

well any more great advices?
just practice up against a wall and build up strength
then do them a lot and try to do things with your legs so that you need to hold up with more balance.
i guess...
Or you can simply roll out of it, which is the easiest thing to do once you learn how to do it. or you can turn out of it (can't spell it, but its pronounced para-et, help anyone?)
Doing them up against the wall for minutes at a time will greatly increase every aspect of your handstand and help build the stabalizer muscles in your arms that don't get worked out much by other means.
ya rolling out of it is just as easy but bridge works fine. this move just takes practice, do litterally 1000 of em, by that time you should be able to walk down stairs on your hands (no joke its not too hard once you get em)

I manage to stop frm rolling on my back by just walking around on my hands...also balance and tricep strength will help you achieve your goal

Your legs need to be straight to have a good one.
Make sure that if you're going to lean, that you'd lean forward. That way you can correct by using your fingers to apply pressure to the ground and stay balance. The balance is all in the fingers.

There is little you can do if you start to tilt back towards the way you came. So listen to skilzat when he says you want to be titling forwards at all times. You can adjust with your fingers that way.
Also I think twisting out of the handstand is much easier than bridge or roll. Just turn your body and drop your feet.
Do a headstand for awhile with your legs locked straight and pointed toes then try and do a hand stand keeping the same position.

I always twist out of handstands if I start falling backwards. It just feels like the natural thing to do.

Yeah, my advice just came from my own experience while teaching it to a friend. He had been practicing handstands for so long, but always twisting out of it because that wasn't as frightening as landing on his back. Once I forced him one day to land in a bridge or try to roll, he managed to do the handstand the next day.

How does adjusting how you go OUT of a handstand make you get the handstand quicker? .. that's a bizarre logic :eh:

Because if your too afraid to go into a backbend, chances are your too affraid to tilt forward enough to hold a good handstand

which one would be the most efficient to start first? doing handstand normaly? or do it at the wall first?

Well, you can always try handstands towards the wall and then slowly pull your feet away from the wall. That way, you won't ever fall on your back, but the mental security you'll have will take the move for granted, and therefore the fear won't go away when you go away from the wall...
