WOO i just got em today, what do you guys think? Tips so i could land em cleaner? possible cork tips?

your j-step is too curved, try to do a 90 degree turn. Also put that pushing leg in front of you to block better, you get MASSIVE air. It looks damn sexy even so, alot better then when i first had em.
haha cool! ya the few i landed felt pretty sweet, fun move. i think what i need to do is kick up harder, the ones that i did land i was really focusing on the kick and leg position on takeoff. and also get a better jstep/block too

ya dude, gainer flash, if it was more slanted it would be a KTM though. nice job man !
skullmyst - whether this vid is a gainer flash or not i can do a gainer flash (completely inverted) except theyre crappy as hell. I have a couple in my samp on youtube.
but when i did this move, it really felt like i was going over my shoulder, and just the mechanics of the kick and everything didnt feel like what my previous gainers had felt like at all. In any case, this 'version' of the kick the moon/gflash is a hell of a lot easier to land + looks cooler imo.
how i worked up to landing them? well first of all i tried one, oviously the first ones the scariest by far you just have to trust your body to go off of that one leg instead of two. But after that its not half as scary and you just drill, like any other move. However on this particular move (glash/kick the moon) i experimented a TON, and that helped loads.
if u cant seem to land it, try a diff takeoff, setup, kick a different way, look somewhere else, use ur arms, whatever. but if you keep experimenting thats how u make progress.

sort out your jstep, you are doing the run and then arent using it for momentum. Sort that and you will have em consistant
edit: also because you dip your shoulder on takeoff it is a moonkick not a gflash. its just an inverted moonkick
edit: run into the jstep as if your running around a corner (a right angle with the edge curved) the swing of the kicking leg should feel in sync with the steps into the moonkick

I just got mine to day lol (1 day before my birthday) but i sometimes land on one arm. Is gainer flash same as kick the moon?

no gainer flash is not same as kick the moon hence they both different names.
gainer flash is a gainer with a flash in it obviously...and then moonkick isnt completely inverted but you go over your shoulder and throw out a hook.

yes, tho it has become commonly accepted that a moon kick doesnt need the hook... Technicaly it should have, but if you do a slant gainer without the hook it will still get called a moonkick.

I see. Im trying to get moon kicks w/o having gainer flashes. The way im workin up to em is slowly getting more and more inverted. Right now, in mid flight, my body is parallel or *slightly* inverted. I just got to keep working up to getting as inverted as u are going. Good luck with getting it cleaner and all! Hope i will get it as well as u someday! :juji:

KTM involves a axe/hook kick with that second leg at the end.
Though I figured that's already been stated enough, so besides that, good job.
