Nice job. Doing a hook at the end of the flip can actually look even better to many people. Personally I think it just adds to the look, doesn't take it away. I'd say that's personal preference, but I assume that's what you really meant when saying that. The left-handed and right-handed thing isn't always true either. Some people are really mixed up with that kind of thing. It'd make more sense to go by which LEG is their dominant kicking leg and take it from that point of view.

Other than that, good. I never really messed with moonkick versus a straight on gainer flash, but still out of J-step. I considered working a slant gainer for next time I work on it. Probably will stick with that plan too.

Is this harder than J-step gainer cus i still need to use my hands for a normal jstep gainer, does that mean i can't do this yet ( i would try but its 2 weeks till gym session, and its muddy and dark outside).

Don't ask questions like what's harder with something like takeoffs. Different takeoffs feel more comfortable for different people. Experiment and see what works? Why ask what's harder or easier when you haven't even tried it? Delay a lot of these questions until you've practiced more. PLEASE.

I didnt ask which takeoff was harder! I said is a moonkick (cheat gainer) easier than a normal gainer (the one going backwards)

Uh...

You just asked if a takeoff was harder, because guess what buddy? J-step refers to a kind of takeoff, not a kind of gainer. You're having some problems with the terminology. Granted, trick move terminology can get quite confusing and debatable, but I thought I'd clear up a simpler example right here.

A slant gainer is easier because you don't have to go directly backwards, but both go backwards. Why you said otherwise I don't know, unless you're cheating it so much that your legs swings over horizontally haha. In which case you failed miserably and didn't do a gainer of any sort.

Both are good to learn for different reasons. There's not that big a difference between slant and straight back. You still have to go backwards, it's just the axis in angled a little. That's all there is to it.

I'm going to tell you the same thing I said earlier. Quit asking all these questions until you've actually tried them enough. It's completely retarded to ask if a variation is harder when everybody is different and you haven't even tried.

KK thanks for answering my question, the reason I said J-step gainer is becuase someimtes when people say jstep gainer there refering to the gainer going backwards, so i just wrote j-step gainerinstead of gainer( backflip off one foot going backwards). :) anyway thx for answering the quetion!

I think you're still confused on terminology but I'm rather sick of repeating myself. Hopefully you actually start trying this stuff out more instead of posting it. Good luck.

It's Birth of a God from teh FInal Fantasy VII soundtrack. But it's sang by Nanaki's View which is a band that does Final Fantasy Heavy Metal covers.
