Considering how filming tricks and making samplers seems to have become an important part of tricking it would be good to have a page about video editing on the site, every time the forum goes down end up writing a new one. Also, I'd love to see a guide to everything non-tricking that relates to tricking - plyo, lifting, some MA perhaps...? and how it can be incorporated into your training, the philosophy used to create a good workout regime week-to-week. , in what ways it helps tricking, etc.

Food articles are always great fun to read, and they oftentimes have a lot of useful information - how about a volume 3-10? I also think your article on Whey (what, how, why, etc) should be put up in the nutritional section, possibly expanded a little.

A supplement article would also be a great tool - info about a variety of supplements, when to take them, what they're for, how they help, etc. It could be a good reference.

It's easy, but it's the only basic you have no tutorial for: the 360. And a supplement to it: the feilong.

Finally, I do enjoy Dogen's tutorials quite a bit, even though they're just 9 minutes of text appearing on the screen. They go into very specific areas that are involved in all of tricking - specifically: The Center of Gravity, and Blocking tut's come to mind. Something along the lines of those would be cool.

Just some food for thought. Mostly anything you write would be useful, I'm sure, so in the end it doesn't matter too much to me.

He does a 540 outside crescent. Throwing your torso down (as is normally the case) for the hook generally destroys your height.

Maybe an article on the importance of nutrients and how it plays into body building, tricking, etc. I mean something that explains like fats (and the different kinds), carbohydrates, protein, sugar, sodium, cholesterol, etc. But yeah, like NiCoS said, this stuff can probably be searched on google. But i'm sure some people could learn something new if you wrote an article.

it would be cool if you took the 540 crescent video tutorial and sped it up by about 1.3 to 1.5 times faster. i once watched it like that and it's way better, you get the same amount of information, it's shorter so it takes less bandwidth to download, and you are joking around anyway. (plus i like the high pitched voices. they're really funny.)

We have a subforum for that. You can submit very nice looking tutorials on the forum. Sess's (http://trickstutorials.com/forum/showthread.php?t=17612) tutorials for example.
User submitted tutorials on the actual site is a bad idea imo. =] Plus there would be no need for it, at all. Juji makes awesome tutorials with tons of content. :juji:

tbh there are many different ways of doing a trick that should be categorised like gymnast aerials and tricker aerials. Why? well because the mechanics of the move are completely different even though they aestheticaly look similar.

take for example a double leg
- there are double legs that look like 360 kicks where body pretty much remains upright
- there are double legs that you run into, plant feet and push off the ground where your torso is horizontal to the ground at the peak of the move
- then there are double legs that are basically non inverted baranis.

Obviously this is all my opinion.

The whole tricker aerial vs side to side aerial thing is controversial simply because tricker aerials usually always go side to side.

It's easy to do a proper side to side aerial. You simply turn into the move from the side. People just usually think that the terms tricker aerial and side to side aerial are synonymous. It's just that most people throw tricker aerials from side to side. Hey, I just said that. Oh dang!

Really now, there are some articles that may sound like good ideas, but we don't need them.

Why? Because once somebody gets to a certain level they shouldn't have to ask for help. They should be able to figure it out for themselves. Such as combos. If somebody needs THAT much help with them, they probably aren't even ready for them in the first place.
Really now, if you consider yourself a reasonably experienced tricker you don't need to ask for all these specific tips/guides for these complicated moves. You should understand enough about the techniques and prerequisites of advanced moves to be able to figure out how to go about them yourself. Nobody should be asking for help for anything like a 1080, a double corkscrew, heck maybe even a cheat 900, etc. You can teach a man to fish, or you can give a man a fish.
Teaching people the basics teaches them to fish, if they treat it as such. If you have to ask for help for every move ever, you're only waiting for somebody to throw you a fish, instead of getting out there and fishing for them.

Yeah...some more narrated(sp?)tutorials would be nice...mostly on the "lesser known" once. By making a tutorial to a tricks you're also making it more know and understandable to ppl.

I'm kinda having my doubt's about the video editing tut. You cant really put anything more then just some tips on how to edit the vid. besides, everyone edit differently and use different programms. And there's alot whole lot of different tips on video editing on the internet, just search the google. But ofc it would make ppl more aware of what and how they edit it...

As mentioned before some new small tweaks on the site would be good...like making a new skins, more spoof, more updates etc. Keeps the site more "alive".

Btw..to skilzat99X...I was always looking at TT as a site, which was made to guide and help the "noobs" that just started...It made tricking more firm, it made tricking into...dare I say it? O_o...an athletic activity. Like football, basketball, hockey. Not just some random "daredevil" jumping.
So as combos are a very important part of the tricking it would be reasonable to make a guide explaining that.Sure, I think that tricking is a creative sport and that you should not only use your body but also the mind, but how are you supposed to draw a beautifull picture if you cant even hold a pencil?

Iono it gets confusing. Because for the 720 Triple you basically need a jackknife etc. WHO KNOWS!

The point is, one should be able to figure out such a move on their own, because if they don't understand the techniques, they probably don't have it's basic prereqs down. Either that, or they just need to study it more by watching examples etc.

The Flashkick tutorial is already there, so there would be no point in taking it down, because it's still usefull... Plus Flashkicks are the trademark of tricking.

However, there's no need to put the effort into making another tutorial that covers just a basic variation of a dleg.


IMO, if there should really be a tutorial, maybe make one on tricks that are hard to get right, but are still a basic foundation, such as Raiz's.

Because a flash kick is a common base for lots of moves whereas a double leg hook is a more advanced extraneous variation.

Heck, one can make those advanced tutorials if they want. But they'd better have the basic ones down too. Cause let's face it, if somebody were to say make a lot of tutorials, and have a 1080 tutorial but no 720 tutorial, it would be fruitless!

The cartwheel/roundoff may be a good idea, but their a little tooo basic for their own full narrated examplers. IN MY OPINION, of course.

i do pop tricks one way and pivot ("cheat") tricks the other way. this means i was able to learn crescent540 without 540, 720triple without jacknife, 720 without cheat720 etc etc

i could conclude that jacknife doesnt associate with 720triple, but im sure it does to some extent!

tricks can be different! pre-requisites are sensible but there's nothing stopping you from learning certain moves other than confidence (learning an "easier" trick in advance)

Jhrono, you can leave whenever you want. You were always the kind of guy to pick a fight (event with Taimatsu in mind). I personally don't see TT as being hateful. I actually see it as being light hearted and a funny place, where I can vent my anger if I wish to and knowing fully that I'll be accepted. This forum is alot more open minded than others.

And when you want to relax and have some fun you go to Publicious! Thats where all the laught and fun and a lot of discussion at! That's like going into a bar together with some friends!
