It's neither harmful nor important so who cares.

Same leg, same problem. It may begin to hurt. Mine went from annoying to badd, to me not even realizing/not paying attention to it. Hopefully it stays that way.

Popping like this can come from overuse. If you rest and lightly stretch it, the popping may gradually decrease. I'm doing this for a similar problem at the moment and its working pretty well for me (annoying that I'm not tricking though).

One more thing: if you're the bendy type, the popping might be caused by your having too much flexibility for your joint's strength. In this case, strengthening the relevant areas can fix it. You should be able to tell whether the cause is overuse or over flexibility.

Apparently this sort of thing is usually harmless (if there's no pain with the popping) and it can even spontaneously go away.

try hip rotations before kicking.
This should decrese the pain at least.

and specialized stretches so hopefully this should help everyone out there (its in pdf if u didnt notice):

That's some excellent information!
I've got this exact problem in my knees, since I started stretching.
And oh wonder, I never really stretched my abductors regularly. Hopefully this will really help. It's not really permanent, but it still sucks.

Thanks!

I've also got this problem and it's been shitting me for ages. I'll just try to stretch my hips more and see how it goes.
