I'm gay but I want to be a bender. Does anyone bend nails and shit?
Shall I just go to a hardware store and buy 100's of nails of different lengths/diameters, and start bending?
werd
I can't really help you in this matter.
But I can assure you that you are 100% correct in assuming that you're gay.
And if you're as good in bending nails as you are in deadlifting, you should go for the nails they use for railroad tracks.

I started bending with steel bars, start thin and long then progressively go onto thicker and shorter bars. I've gotten tired and bored of it though. I'm trying to get my grip and forearm strength up so I can bend frying pans and stuff.

I plan to some day, but only after I master the #4 iron mind gripper, powerball, and one-armed pullup. Honestly wouldn't have the confidence until then, and they are mostly tricks to impress people after all.

Do you follow a routine for the Ironmind grippers? I just got a #1 and #2 for X-Mas...

haha, the only thing i can bend that is impressive is Beer caps. I can bend the same cap twice. once in half, and then the half so it goes into a quarter. Dunno if you understand...

yea, so true. A lot of them only train grip and no other facets of ownage, which is really lame.

Yeah but what's the point? Seems costly. I don't like breaking good things, especially nails. Better to nail them into a board, and then hit something with it. Like someone who spills coffee.

theres some guy on youtube that bends a frying pan, that was pretty cool.
you know the ultimate grip test thing? (no, i dont know the proper name) well the one that only 3 people in the world have ever done the toughest one. My mate's brother (who's a commonwealth rower) can do the 2nd hardest one and is working his way to becoming the 4th person in the world to be able to do it. My mate (who's a past european champion rower) can barely do the 2nd one using his whole body.
Those things are fucking solid.

by the sound of it, he is talking about CoC grippers.
I have similar ones, HG brand. I don't like them very much, I much prefer bending things actually.

I did some long-bending yesterday for the first time. This bolt was easy as shit, even with a big offset - I bent it back and forth until it snapped. I will go and buy more of those ones, they will be good for practising my long-bending technique. I have some very fat nails too, that I can't even kink. They should be making their time, though.

Captains of crush i think you may be referring to. I've recently closed no 2 and I'm making my way onto no 3. I've been using them for years now.

I thought more than 4 people have closed it by now... yeah I want to master those too, along with that weird machine thingy and the power ball.
This seems like a really odd thing to do. Is there any point to it other than to impress people at parties where boxes of nails happen to be lying around?

yea, impressing people is the only reason to get really strong hands. Just like any other physical ability.

Well thats not entirely true, for example having a big verticle leap allows you to jump over stuff thats in your way... I guess you could bend bars that get in your way?

yea, I suppose there would be some enjoyment still if you were the only person on earth. You would have more survival powers, anyway. But a lot of the fun is being better than other people, isn't it.
