Hello everyone, my name is Fly, and I will try to introduce you (to the best of my abilities) to the world that is known as 'Ebonics'. Ebonics is a form of speech used by badasses all across America, from people like Snoop DEE-OH-DOUBLE-G-ZZLE, to people like Martin Luther King (as seen in an episode of the hit cartoon, "The Boondocks"). It's a quite diverse, and indeed, intriguing form of speech, but it shain't go unnoticed.

Part One: Changing of words.

We often come across people fluent in ebonics often times changing words, such as "I need some perfume" to "I need some 'smell good'". This is a very important part of ebonics, because if you can't change the words around properly, you ain't nothin but a bitch.



I got bored, but I will keep updating this on a regular basis until it becomes gold. Any imput is appreciated, unless you ain't street, in which case you gotta get the fuck up on outta here.

great thread guey! actually i am quite fluent in ebonics thanks to my high school. i'll throw in a few tips as well, and perhaps update randomly when i'm bored :)

1. refer to people you're talking to as "fam"
them: "whattup dawg"
you: "yo whattup fam"

2. refer to the place where you are as "this bitch"
"yo i'm finna get the fuck up out this bitch"

3. as you have previously seen, instead of saying "going to" or "gonna", use "finna"
"yo i'm finna bounce"
