I watched the strong man competitions on Friday and this is the guy that won:

It doesn't make sense how someone so physically fit and strong (you have to be fit to do some of the challenges on the program) can be so god damned fat! I mean his gut is massive.

Yeah it does, but he probably does alot of cardio when he's not lifting.

EDIT: This is just my opinion, by the way. I don't really know anything about him personally. The only Strongman I follow is Mariusz.

i remember seein a strong man competition on tv a few years back and they had to lift these big logs like massive pieces of timber with grooves in it and one guy actually ripped all of his calluses of his hands they were so thick as well ... and another time this guy picked up a weight so heavy he started bleedin really dark blood out of his nose and it was like puring , i dont kno about u but that was freaky and im sure it wasnt a good sign seemed like he was hemorraging from the brain i have the upmost respect for those guys cos they are able to push there bodies so hard its incredible

There are a couple of obese props in my Rugby team and they can easily run around all game. That's pretty fit.

I watched it on Friday, yea - it was alright. The UK has some pretty weak dudes though, compared to WSM. In WSM they're also much more buff - these dudes were just blobs. Having a shitload of weight helps in a lot of the events though.

I think people would make the link between strength, and obesity. Fat = strong, and not-fat = less strong, and getting strong ---> getting fat. I'm not sure if the public would think of steroids much - they would imagine that steroids make you huge, ripped, and muscular, not sloppy lumps of shit.

why would he do that? He competes in strongman shit, that is what he likes. His physique is well suited to such activities, so he maintains it. His clothes, skin tone, and hair style, have NOTHING to do with how well he does in strongman.

Female approval is nice, but it is not all that matters, Steven.
