when ever i do the lying v stretch after about 15-20 minutes the toes on one of my feet go numb.
y is this happening and how can i stop it

It's probably just a lack of blood flow into your toe. Maybe just jiggle your leg around to get blood circulating back there.

im a hardcore stretcher and ive slept in both front splits before

Yeah thats definitly far too long to hold a stretch. When im sitting down with my legs straight out in front of me for a long period of time that happens to me too.
Just get up every few minutes and run up and down the stairs or something to keep the blood flow.
however i recommend not doing this while your legs are asleep, may be painfull but still funny as hell when you fall.
