I just did a session last night and I noticed my hamstrings were sore the following morning. Whenever that happens I always worry: is it minor injury meaning I overdid it and was gong ballistic? Or maybe it's just innocent DOMS?
It could sort of be either, depending on the cause. If it was that it was tense and overstretched while during the rise of the kick, then it would be ballistic injury. Or, it could be, that the hamstring was simply worked on the ground leg, and was growing in response to that.
Bah, actually now I'm not even sure it was caused by kicking at all, because I was doing one legged squats/deadlifts and one-legged swiss ball ham-glute raises, so that's probably it, simply DOMS.
Still, such paranoia of improper training, what causes it?
