For a new years resolution im going to be as healthy as i can and make goals to work toward. ive been quite unhealthy recently and need some advice on what to eat during the day.

So i get pretty hungry during the day and need a s snack, its so easy to just whip out a pot noodle or hydrogenated fat pasta in sauce thing so thats what i do. Anyone got any suggestions on healthy snacks i can eat during the day?:bandit:

try to make a more solid goal. It will be easier to obtain than saying: "I want to eat healthy for the rest of the year!". Make a goal that you will overcome your craving for your favorite unhealthy snack, or lower empty calorie consumption, eliminate fast food/soda, etc. These goals are more concrete, and will be easier to stick to.

I branle about 6-7 times a day so I don't really feel like snacking.

The foods still depend on what your goals are. Fruits never hurt. Try to just form some general rules of what not to eat in groups. It makes things easier. For instance, try to get most of your carbs in in the morning, and gradually cap carbs off towards the end of the day. I don't eat carbs after 7 PM unless it is post work-out. Protien every three hours. Keep the metabolism going. Lean meats. Green leafy veggies for lunch. Lots of water. Branle.

Nuts are a good snack. Almonds rule.
Fruit is also good. Oranges are the sex. :juji:

Perhaps a quick shake might work for you sometime? Grab some crap and throw it in the blender.

Other things that I like are Cliff bars or Whole grain granola bars.

Diet soda. No calories, just lots of various chemicals you shouldn't ingest.

Soda light.. Same in Sweden. "No sugar, full taste, Multitude of chemicals you should NOT punish your internal system with."
Wouldn't know if they use that last bit but, they use magic marker on that one.

They do say Aspartame is cancerous. Can't remember why or what type of cancer but it is said to promote cancer growth.

Now kids, replace 'cancer' with 'muscle' and see if there's really any difference in that sentence.

Have a toasted tomato sandwich

take 2 pices of bread, toast them, then put cheese, tomatoe, lettuce, mayo, mustard, salt and pepper.

You can also put cucumber or any other of your favorite crunchie or semi crunchie vegetable on it. its a solid snack, or a small meal if your realy not that hungry.

Steve

That takes far too much effort.

OR! You take a random number of slices of wholegrain bread (or crisp bread if you've got access to it). Smack some cottage cheese on there and voila! Snack for the lazy. Carbs, proteins and fiber.
