Jumping Jacks that is. Other than a little cardio and muscle stamina, do they work anything else?

I think I remember hearing they should never be done.

How do they fuck up your coordination exactly? Does the same thing apply to similar exercises, such as burpees?

when doing jumpingjacks your upperbody-movements and lowerbody-movements work against each other. when you jump, you move your arms down. this is unnatural. this is not good for your jumping coordination.

burpees are ok.

Jumping Jacks is something I never had to do seriously in PE. And I never regarded using it as an exercise either.. It just looks hilarious to begin with.

yes but for every action, shouldnt it be normal to have an opposite reaction?

edit: when walking, your right foot goes forwared and your right hand goes backward

I've always ALWAYS thought that jumping jacks sucked monkey cock. Switch up the jacks for a jump rope.

Jumping jacks aren't an exercise anyway, unless you are wearing a 600 pound backpack.
