Im trying to start a cutting diet, but due to my shitty knowledge on even basic nutrition I'm not sure what I should be cutting out - Fat? Carbohydrates?

I'm currently around 76kg @ 5foot 7, and fairly active

Can anyone help me out on a ratio (Carbohydrates:Protein:Fat) that I should be aiming for, and a calorie intake

I realise this is basically a dumbass question, but if anyone could answer it in generic terms that would be awesome

While you're waiting for a proper answer from the people who know more than me what it is about. Try searching this forum for threads with the same questions you're asking. There's bound to be at least one out there.

Eat whole foods only. It should be as close to fresh from the field/sea as possible. Cut out all refined and processed foods. If you can afford it, organic is better, but not truly necessary.

You should only drink 0-calories drinks w/o additives such as water and green tea. The only exception to this rule is a shake taken peri-workout.

Split your intake into 5-6 meals in a day.

Depending on your level of training you should include a form of aerobic/anaerobic conditioning. Start with steady state cardio, and after you become acclimated to it, increase the intensity, while decreasing the length. Then move on to sprinting or interval training.

other than reading thoroughly on various websites, i highly suggest a book entitled Game Over. it's amazing.
