Tricks in Thailand - My sommer sampler 2006

I know that my tricks to flips ratio sucks, and I am really trying to learn more kicks and such, but when I made that sampler I had only been tricking for about six months, and I was still trying to get rid of all my old gymnast habits. Things are looking way better now:wink:

holy shit, haha. i was slightly discouraged at the beginning just because there were no kicks... but three good ones by the end and a shitload of good tumbling. :good:

whoever that was with the jacknife, that was hot. and double full on sand... damn. :smile:

you guys should start throwing a horizontal twist or two, it seems like you all have outstanding control and genuine talent, so, rock that shit. :swashy: haha. also, im sure any one of you could do a sideswipe, or a cheat 720, or (hell) combo some kicks.

but yeah, beautiful scenery and hardcore tumbling. :smile:

Thanks for all the positive response:smile: even though my gymnastic background is shown so much in the sampler.

and yes it is my little brother and little sister who also is starring in the sampler, I'm the one doing most of the tricks in it, my brother does some backhandsprings and back tucks though.

Ha ha, I may not be the best to ask for advice concerning kicks, but I can tell you what helped me getting it...

first, if you slant your 540 so that it is more horizontal, not like in a sideswipe, but just a little, it is easier to get your kicks high.
second, try using your first kicking leg to speed up your rotation, when you have completed the first kick like in a regular 540, bent your kicking leg and pull it towards the ground, this will turn your body around and open your hips for the next kick.

hope you get the idea, cause I am terrible at descriping techniques for tricks:tongue:

ha, dont worry, you still win. :tongue: the fact that you _throw_ kicks means you get the whole idea, and so i say skill is skill and your tumbling still rocks. :smile:
