It took me a little bit longer than I had anticipated to get the next update ready:

First, we have three new tutorials each with an exampler. However, they are all extremely basic tricks! So let's start the new year right for the extreme novice crowd.

360 kick tutorial :square:
Tornado kick tutorial :nervous:
Masterswipe tutorial :owned:

Oddly, somehow the 360 exampler came out to be about 6 minutes long. Don't even ask what the fuck I was thinking! Hahaha, ridiculous. Thank you Mikey (http://www.trickstutorials.com/forum/member.php?u=300) for hosting the examplers. Everybody send him a nice private message complete with gratitude and good-willed goatse!

Two new articles:

Chain combinations :wise:
Non-tricking tricks

I had finished the chain combination article about a month ago. Strangely enough, the forum has recently exploded with a lot of discussion on combinations much in the same vein I have written about them in the article! Coincidence; But that just reinforces my message.

I feel this is going to be a good year for this website! Stick around, I've already got some updates for February in the works; :juji:

Bummer... I was hoping for some awesome tricks.

I was doing 360's and Tornados waaaay before I heard of tricking. And the first time I saw a Masterswipe I thought... why the fuck would someone call that thing a trick???

But cool updates. The articles were great. Especially equating lentils to a tripod.

All in all, good work. I just watched all the stuff. Coolness.

Lets go to February! COCK CLAW!!!

However, could you possibly have had worse lighting on the Tornado kick exampler?

The confused kids out there might not be able to see your feet.

Oh man, your 360 exampler is funny. Yours looks damn nice too. I feel like drilling some basics RIGHT NOW after reading all this.

Non-tricking tricks is hilarious. What the hell, purple stain? Haha. I'm gonna buy a bag of beans today too.

I still have to check out the chain combo's article. Cool stuff.

The articles are enjoyable to read, as always. I think I like an article on style over one on technique. Like I've never considered camera angle (cause I never use one) but its something I'll keep in mind.
They're both pretty thorough but I have a question, why not wear a tard?

How come we're not suppose to bend the non-kicking leg in the 360 cresent, you coil that leg in when do a 540 and 540 cresent, and from everything I know about MA and tricking it seems that it make perfect sense to bend the non-kicking leg in.

Juji you sound so damn bored in your new examplers... but your 360 crescent is the shit. I really liked the "go fuck yourself" at the end

Well, come on... hahaha! :eh: How excited can I get over a tornado kick? Tornado kick video was just a filler. Hard to get hyped up about these tricks. :ouch:

i like Ju G's voice. even his written voice.

That's a unique, but much appreciated (and possibly needed) compliment. :swashy:

Thanks! And it's Winter here, tards are out of the question! :ogre:

well it's obvious here that you bend the non-kicking leg
http://www.trickstutorials.com/images/t_540c8.jpg
most 540's I've seen from you, you sort of gyro them so you don't coil the non-kicking leg much but I did'nt mean you specifically juji, but most of the 360 kicks I've seen have a straight non-kicking when it would make sense to me if it was coiled in.

Steve

On 360 crescents I always chamber my leg and hit with the instep, as if I'm actually kicking something.

Yeah but that's a picture of a 540 hook kick. I'm not bending it, I'm pumping it. If you pump on a 360 kick what are you achieving? An uglier aesthetic. If you pump on a 360 kick to gyro what are you achieving? An even uglier aesthetic. Keep the non-kicking leg straight on the 360 kick no matter if you are hypering it, landing feet together, gyro'ing it, or hypo'ing it. The only exception might be a 720 double, for functional purpose, but even then I would recommend working your best to keep the non-kicking leg straighter while pumping to achieve a more pleasing aesthetic.

I do believe the pump or the bending is different in the cheat kicks you are referring. Both application and aesthetic.

Dang I thought I was so clever for making a 360c and a Tornado Kick tutorial. :frown:

Haha, excellent stuff! And even better job on the article about combinations. It seems you approached it in a way that nobody who wanted one would have thought of but it seems more helpful and "oo ahh" then just saying "well here's you you do this and that." Great job, keep up the good work!

love the new articles juji!! :good: altho i almost cried when i watched the tornado kick tutorial, not enough detail, i dont get how to do the move :agony:lol nah just kidding man, its all good. the tutorials are good enough for the simplicity of the moves. the article about combo's was very good, i never really thought about breaking it down like that :good:

ahahaha that picture made me laugh so much!!!

Also, that was sooo funny at the end of the 360 tutorial because it sounded like you actually stuttered and I was thinking "Oh no, Juji stuttered, what's he going to say!?!?!" and I expected you to say something philosophical and meaningful but what you said was even better ahahah I laughed so much at that too!

Anyways, you've got some great new stuff! Some of the articles you give a specific date, some you only give a season. But any winter season can be confusing because you wouldn't know if it was early year winter or late year winter. Maybe you don't care to change that though. :eh:

Well, thanks for the great new stuff and I wish you the best in your adventures Jujimufu. You've got a tough journey ahead of you, but I just know you'll endure through all your struggles and grow to become an even better individual! You just have to keep believing!!! :juji:

excellent articles! the chain combo article was a very good read. i have been thinking a lot about combos and variations lately, and this article helped me with some very creative ideas i have in my mind right now, thanks a lot juji :good:

btw, i saw a little spelling mistake in your article about combo's. nothing serious, but i just felt the need to point that out since i'm a spelling freak you know: "Since Jan and I have a similar tricking styles, body type, and level of skill I enjoy brainstorming with him."
Shouldn't it be "Since Jan and I have a similiar tricking style, body type, and level of skill I enjoy brainstorming with him."

again thanks for the good read!

I'll change the Winter thing, it is confusing. I remember when I was a kid and read Nintendo Power Magazine! Nintendo would report release dates and listed them as season XX, such as winter 97 or whatever; Winter meant the beginning of the year, which confused me then - and still confuses me now / because Winter is also at the very end of the year... even though...? Yeah hahah.

Jamesters you're the bestest! :punched: :good: Your presence is much needed here at TT.

btw, i saw a little spelling mistake in your article about combo's.

Fixed it. I appreciate it, I really wish more people would come forward when they find spelling errors and report them to me anyway possible (public or private doesn't matter) / Sometimes I write with that ... style of using "/" and tons of semi-colons everywhere, but mistakes like the one you pointed are definitely not intential haha!

Been bogged with homework guys. Damn. It's not that this work is hard, it's easy, but there is soooooo much of it! I think I'm the only one finishing the assignments on the originally intended timeline in my chem class, because the teacher is pushing due dates back / which means I get a little vacation for a bit because now I'm ahead but whatever. Next update probably gonna take mid February instead of Early Feb at this rate.

ARghhhh!!! School is back. :dead:

Jan-17-07, 10:51 PM
Oh well not at the moment. You're probably heard some of this from me in the past. Considering I got out of high school in 03 and am still not in college, it's been nothing but full-time work. I was good in school, but with all the moving around and money issues having little support it's been hard. I'm at a point where I think I'll be able to start this next fall semester. Haven't completely decided on the local community college or a university here I'm also interested in. Either way I'm going to get going. As far as a major, what I was once sure about I'm not longer certain. I suppose something film-related but I'm going to be pretty open about possible drastic changes in my career goals the next few years.

I really would have liked this to all happen sooner, but that's life. Shit happens.

Oh! Actually, whenever I read long articles I often intentionally look for spelling errors. Doing so helps me pay attention to the material. So anyways, as I went through many of your articles I took note of all the errors I found, there were only few and far between, but I had a collection of them noted down in paper haha. I was going to PM you about them but then I thought it might just be picky and you wouldn't care. If I can find where I put that list I'll PM them to you!

Thanks to Firefox 2, in any text field, it automatically underlines any misspelled word, then by right clicking it, it shows you common options for spelling correction. You just click on your word of choice to replace the misspelled word for the correct one. Quite useful I've found.

Yes, it really is useful! Juji, I PM'd you with a list of errors found on all of your pages! In future articles you could always spell check them real quick right before publishing them though so that you can already be confident that they are grammatically efficient!
