But that's how the sport is. If people did tricking combos in a gymnastics competition, they might not place because it is a gymnastics competition, not a tricking competition.

But then again I know nothing about cheerleading.

gymnastics is much more branled sport than tricking because tricking is pretty new branle. especially antibranleurs like old branle more than new branle. before every competition you should ask the judges if they are antibranleurs. if they dont know what it means, they are antibranleurs. if they are antibranleurs, dont branle, just antibranle.

As J.B said, you can't win a gymnastics competition if you do tricking. It's like wanting to do street basketball in an "official" basketball match. It does not fit.

Well the combo wasn't really too indepth into tricking. I did a roundoff xout full, back tuck, back tuck, back tuck, double flash, cartwheel, sideflip, aerial.

But I guarantee you, there were like 400 cheerleaders that were like omfg I wanna sex you

I had a competition today, and there was a tumble off after. I joined it, and I did tricking combos and everybody was like holy craapppppp, but they gave the medals to these girls because they did their stuff like gymnasts.

TUMBLE OFF = GYMNASTICS not tricking.

if you try and trick in any kind of gymnatics competition, you're never gonna win becuase you're not doing gymnastics.

Honestly tho cheerleading is all about pumping the crowd up. It's just most have taken to using only tumbling to do so. Judging is cheerleading is so fucked up. It's really drama based and has stupid politics to it. Even tho you were probably clearly the crowd favorite, the judges see you as sloppy and not pretty enough.

For my senior year in competettion I plan on doing individuals and trick during my routine. Then just as a final fuck you to the judges I'll bust out a double full. (Any twisting past 1 is illegal except for baskets). I will be the crowd fave but get disqualified. If a college was looking for someone who would they choose?

According to the rules you stated... a double full would be legal, you're gonna have to go for triple.

You don't need the medal i bet it's shit anyway it's not worth nothing or probably a renown reward. Tricking isn't widely know we all know that and this probably added to why you didn't win. They just didn't know what the hell crazy shit you were doing and couldn't judge it?

Pretty much all of what he did is still a cheerleading move though Andy (except the x-out and maybe the sideflip). His combo is still vastly superior in a cheerleading sense, even if performed badly, compared to one made up solely of ro bhs and layouts.

Though I actually know very little about cheerleading so I'm probably just speaking from my bumhole. :sad:

Actually, I'd be careful about doing that one too. Apparantly double backs are illegal (in SOME competitions) because flipping one and a half times and landing on your head = great pain or death.

I know this because a cheerleader/gymnast told me. I pointed out the same exact thing as a way to win. :tongue:

The key is, know what you can and CANT do before actually doing a Tumble off or whatever.

Thankfully cheerleading does not even exist in the same sense here as in the US.. I've never been much for the cheesy moves/shoutouts and the constant smiling faces.

That's probably just me though, I'm sure it's fine and dandy for you american peeps..

I could possibly be the worst cheerleader ever. I didn't goto two games because I was playing genesis with friends. I didn't bother to call I just didn't go.

I never wear shoes and never yell any of the chants. I've been trying to learn to sleep with my eyes open. My Coach catches me if I nod off during games.

My coach is the one that's responsible for telling all the other coaches the rules, so she's super strict and kinda a bitch. Whenever I can get away with it I don't wear shoes.
