There's this kid at my karate school who can do splits all 3 ways, can kick way above his head, and is is extremely fast with all his kicks. I also noticed that he never warms up before stretching, which I even asked him the other day. What makes this possible?
Also, when sore, is it ok to lightly stretch when cold. I'm currently very sore from a workout and have been trying to do some hamstring stretches as I sit down every once in a while. Is this bad? To be honest I'm not feeling any relief in my hamstrings as I stretch cold like this, but every time I want to do a warm up it feels like I'm just gonna make myself more sore by doing it.
