I'd opt for the raiz to be honest, the problem with a tornado swingthru is the position of the hips. You have to do a 180 turn with your leg still kicking - after landing - to get a swingthru from it. Raiz is much better, even if it is still horizontal.

You could m/l a tornado. but that obviosuly sends the difficulty up...

That's what I have trouble with, the hips, you have you hips aligned for the kick then you have to re position them to swing through.

I was just watching Mike Scalco's sampler and I noticed he does a good one in there, might be an idea to ask him.

You know how you normally end a tornado facing away from your target? Spin an additional ninety (90) degrees, so your momentum will be going backwards. Understand?

It is weird to try and do this move without compromising the quality of the kick, and I could use some advice too. I haven't found an efficient way to do this, so I don't rechamber, I just keep my leg swinging all the way around and continue into a not-so-clean moonkick (or cork, on one occasion).

I could definitely use some tips, too.

I might try what you said when I trick today Adam, I usually go about an extra 90 degrees from a standard Tornado to do a swing through but 180 might make it better.

whilst in midkick, turn your pelvis towards the ground and bring your chest up. this will position your leg to pivot from the roundhouse to perfect swingthru position.
