any tips on getting the extra spin or height or anything about the move in general?

I cant see the video as I'm in college, but one of the main tips that works for me is to wait for the twist. Throw your first leg up first and stall....actually this applys for basically every twist haha, but ya' know.

i think you mean c720twist...

and you need alot more height to land that. Dantess can land then because his raiz' are the shit, i suggest you get your raiz sorted then work on ze twist.

Yeah basically, like Andy said, you need to work your Raiz more. Try and kick real high with your first leg. When you feel it reach the highest point, just spin like a mofo.

It's a strange feeling and may take a while to actually land it. When you do land it, it'll probably be a really random attempt...at least mine was anyway.

i personally think about throwing a really high 540 then wrapping in. makes it way easier haha.
marc c gave me this advice when i was trying to learn this move 2-3 years ago...throw arms and leg up at the same time...get airborn and then twist hard. That sounds like pretty basic advice but if you actually do it then this move should be no problem.
its a really weird move in the beginning and it doesnt feel like a twist (like a btwist, cork, or full) but more like a spin.

Cheat 720 Twist = 540 Twist

The C720 Twist was first done by Chris Devera back in the WCAT glory days. At this time it was called the 540 Twist...


The conclusive problem with your C720 Twist, is that you didn't get enough air. Once you lay back and start twisting, your body should be chest level.

When you lift your left leg up, you really need drive it upwards, and launch off the ground...then wrap. In all honesty, this happens so fast it's basically simultaneous; but in your vid, you're wrapping before you even jump off the ground.

It's okay to un-wind as your about to jump, but don't completely wrap until you've jumped. As far as the trick goes, the C720 Twist is a Raiz Gyro...you'll notice that everyone that has a pretty good Raiz, can C720 Twist as well!

Okay...off the topic question here. Just reminded me thinking of people who can cheat720 twist but not raiz well...Gary Ip...has anyone seen Gary Ip do a raiz? Or a raiz - cork or something?
I cant think of one time I have seen him do a raiz haha.

Well Gary has a pretty nice Sideswipe, so it's not like he can't Raiz...on top of that he's a genius when it comes to twisting/spinning so it's not like he couldn't force C720 Twist over.

Well thats how it is for me too. I can sideswipe and cheat 720 twist but my raiz is pretty crappy...haha. I dunno.

I wasnt arguing with the what you said though. I would imagine having a strong raiz would make cheat720 twist pretty easy.

I wanna see prodigy do a cheat 720 twist...his raiz is huge.
