Since most injury thread are here, ill just ask here. When the hell does swelling ever go fully down? I've benn icing my ankle for about 2 weeks now, and its still not completely back to normal.

go to a chiropractor- it may be slightly displaced. theyll pop it right back into place for ya

Don't chiro's generally work on spines, not feet?

Well my dad has one and he does his hip too. Thanks Wildarm, hopefully he will do it for free. Cause if he doesnt... i have to become his patient and pay 150 or somthing as an initial fee. So if he doesnt is it bad to leave it alone?
It's been 2 weeks and the swelling hasn't gone down. Something is definitely wrong and you should seek professional advice.
Since we don't know HOW you got that swollen ankle, we can't really know what kind of injury it is. Go to that chiropractor if you can do it for free. Do not strain your ankle since it can quite possibly get worse.

inflammation may have a big part to do with swelling.

It has, just not completely back to normal. There is also a small tendon type thing that is bigger on one ankle than the other. I might just ignore it once it doesnt hurt one bit to loosely shake my ankle. Im close to that. Proabbly another week of attention and light tricking like i've been doing.

My doctor prescribed me an anti inflammatory. if you are working it still after the injury then swelling would probably stay up. Ask your doctor about a prescription

If you stop tricking the swelling will go down faster.
Ice the ankle when ever you can, this will also reduce swelling.
Taking an anti-inflammatory even if he doesn't know he's got an inflammation would just be unnecessary.
Either wait another week without tricking and icing it or go to a doctor.
Don't trick, it can make it worse. There's absolutely no point in risking an injury that can knock you out for a prolonged period instead of just taking a week off and resting.

Yeah i planned on doing this today when i realized it hurt a little when i woke up. The only reason i continued tricking during this time is beacuse i got a new trick and wanted to keep it consistent. Thanks for your help. I shouldnt take like mortin for anti inflamation?

No, see a doctor first and let them assess what the injury is.
Get an appointment ASAP and then get the real confirmation from them which CAN be rest and anti-inflammatory.
Don't take an anti-inflammatory yet, people rely way to much on them without knowing if they have an inflammation or not.

Well i cant since i have a situation right now where i dont really have one because i still havent gotten one where i moved to yet (i moved recently). Its either checking with that free chiropractor in like 10 days, or nothing. Probably nothing, unfortunately. haha oh well. Well any more advice besides medical attention? I mean i figure its not that bad, since it doesnt hurt at all to walk or run, so eh.
Has the swelling gone down completely?
I mean if you can't see or feel anything awkward then I guess you're good as new. Try some 'light' tricking tomorrow or something and see how you feel.

I see this tiny bump sticking out thats a little odd, and the swelling isnt completely down. Maybe i didnt really make it clear, but i was saying that i can walk and run easily without pain, but it hurts if i land a move wrong or something. So im still gonna wait a week or a little longer. My test for joint injuries to see if i can trick again or not (not like they happen to me that often, haha) is first moving it around to see if it hurts obviously. Then i shake it violently without any resistance to see if it hurts at all. I figure if it doesnt hurt then, i must be healed.. so yeah. Thanks though.

Man.. I have just the same thing on both of my ankles- I'm not sure if it EVER heals completely.
Your ankle is a bit weaker now right? And after a tricking session (even with all landings perfect) hurts just the tiniest bit?
I know the feeling....
I think that the only possibility to resolve it is - NOT TO TRICK, but I'm pretty sure you'll decide to do the same as me- not to pay that tiny bump attention and trick as though nothing happened! ^__^
lol
good luck
