Oatmeal in microwve versus stove

Is there any difference between stoving and microwaving a bowl of oatmeal? I've so far only done it the stove way (boil water, throw in oats, medium heat for 5 minutes) and I'd like to get it done a little quicker for the morning. Any difference in taste/nutrition?

If whatever difference in taste is THAT important to you than I suppose oven, but microwaved oatmeal isn't a big deal to me so I use it for the purpose of efficiency and saving time.

Cooking takes away some of the nutritional value.

Microwaving takes away a bit more than the stove, but you really shouldn't worry about it unless you're working with veggies. It's pretty hard to screw up oats.

Microwave : faster, less to clean, get the job done.

Stove : Was good when you made oatmeal back in the 1800's.

What Antoine said. I hate cleaning up the oatmeal mess in the pan afterwards. And if it's school day just makes it all the more excrutiating. Why bother with the stove? I have my eggs there already and they never complain about being lonely.

Whenever I put an egg in my oatmeal I end up cooking it on the stove. Do you guys generally cook oatmeal with egg for the same time in the microwave than without egg?

easiest way, boil jug, pour over oats, let sit for 2 mins, ta-da cooked oats.
