Fibre also slows digestion so when you wake up in the morning your not starving because youve been digesting all night, that used to happen to me a lot.

An hour or two? I usually eat right before going to bed. If the last meal before going to bed was two hours ago, I might dump something more in.
I'm thinking the "stack" threw him off. The only stack of anything I've ever ate is pancakes.

Tell you the truth I couldn't fall asleep if I ate just before going to bed. But that's pretty individual as far as I know. A matter of trial and error for people who want to try it.
