damn it! :eh:

i definetly need pro help on it. I can kick real nice and high, but cant do a 540. Is there any stalling involved in the technique cause i tried stallin the kick twice and landed on both legs instead of non kicking leg.

You need more air time to finish the kick so that you can land on the kicking leg and make the 540, your not powerful enough yet by the look of it so you'll have to drill.

For a start jump as high as you can when you do this and swing your non kicking leg higher, that'll also help with height.

why other people can jump so high and, overall, they can STAY IN THE AIR AS THEY'RE FLYING???

That is a damn nice tornado kick dude! Be proud.

Anyways, all you need to do is jump higher and bring the kicking leg back down faster. Yes, stalling helps alot. If you can land with both feet together, then you could easily turn it into a 540. All you really need to do is pull up the non-kicking leg!

well, it looks mostly like you'll get it with some drilling, but a couple things to watch for:

try and kick in the same direction that you're facing when you start the trick. you can do this be stepping over farther, or stalling the kick. i recommend the latter. also, try to chamber the kicking leg instead of pulling straight off the ground. that'll give it more power and snap. other than that, just try and focus a little more on jumping and throwing that non-kicking leg up hard.

i'd recommend practicing your tornados with the above suggestions and drill those for a little before trying to 540. that way you can focus more on the technique and less on trying to make it all the way around.

Also i'd recommend not to kick so high to start with, the higher you kick the harder it is to land, start kicking a little lower and then build it up from their.

Good luck

your kick is too slow. thats all. you have height, all you need to do throw that first knee up high, grit your teeth and launch that kicking leg around as fast as you can, and force yourself not to put your non kicking leg down.

basically just do it as fast as you can.

best wishes! :)

You kicks remind me of a cheerleader. Not to say that that's bad. But when you kick think like you're gonna kick my head off because I just related you to a cheerleader. Unless you're into cheerleading, of course. :agony:

Get a fast and powerful kick.

I only just started trying them that day and that's the only one i got on tape (all pretty much the same). I think it's still classified as a 540 kick because I landed on my kicking foot SLIGHTLY before the other foot landed. Any tips on how to improve it? I think I need to turn my head and shoulders in the direction that I'm spinning a bit more.

Tips plzkthx.

That was great! All you really had to do was trust your kicking leg to support your landing, and pull your left leg to your butt and hold it there until after you land.

Really? Awesome, it's nice to know I'm a natural *blows and wipes knuckles on shirt*.
I also do taekwondo (WTF) but I only started about august 2006. However, all the instructors tell me I'm a natural and that I'll be in international competitions when I'm black belt buahahaha.
