i think dave C does something like that...but i think they're more like slanted full twists.

Full twist round?

Full twist round?

what roundkick has to do with this? yama4ever didn't mention anything about for it to be done or any other kick while executing this trick. but I agree with
tracekillz, sounds like a slanted fulltwist.

Jan-18-07, 06:36 AM
well..its kind of a 50/50 thing there..i know JL i.e. afrothunder does a type cartwheel slant full...and it actually looks pretty good. he throws a roundhouse in there once in a while..depends on what youre feelin...either way..round or not. i think the consensus is a slant full.

edit: i believe the slant full round is called the terada twist.

I have seen someone do a running forward punched corkscrew...looked like something out of a video game.
It was in his form too, on hard ground. Freaking crazy.

tracekillz
Jan-18-07, 10:23 AM
the only thing i can see out of a running punch that is spin-involved is a 720 twist..its hard for me to picture a punch front corkscrew. anyone got a clip?

Bens avatar isn't a cork, yea friggin right.

That's about as forced fulltwist as you get. There's no such thing as a standing pop cork, the way a cork is simply won't allow for it. Tell me: if your feet are together, how are you going to make the move horizontal? Because the way you make a cork horizontal (the PROPER way) is by swinging up your leg high enough basically. You can't do that with two feet on the ground.

Trying to do a pop cork is like trying to do a pop cheat 720. Ha. All you're gonna be doing is a standing full, probably a crappy one.

you can do a running 2 foot gainer full, but not invertt it as much

this would be very hard though haha

i see where youre comin from skilz....but IMO, its not neccecarily true. if you punch and lay back it would count. its just spnning and landing thats the hard part. i mean...i think it could be possible...just very difficult.

edit: there'd need to be some experimenting done to see if theres possibility for a flat spin...maybe out of a pop720 though..seeing that you gane the momentum if you parafuso and punch to the cork, then you SHOULD be able to get some sort of flatspin going.

gary ip did a boxcutter thing off both feet a while back. looks pretty cool. id say it's an extention on fulltwist round though.

the only reason id wanna slant a full is to add something in like a kick. illusion/round/hook/swipe/dleg etc

hrm..try swinging your arms up harder and stall out the jump before you twist..like...kinda push your hips upward-ish. it should give you more height. let me know how it works. i think imma try it this weekend if injuries subside.

Actually, the secret to this moving is doing the opposite of what you would do for a fulltwist. You begin twisting immediately, rather than waiting till you have left the ground.

And it's easy to do, just chuck your arms at your left shoulder (assuming you twist to the left) and twist. Then, as you are facing the sky, begin to execute an inside crescent or a roundhouse in order to make it a "fulltwist roundkick" or "terada twist". I prefer the latter title, because it's really not a fulltwist.
