View Full Version : Jacknife?

Would this be considered at least a jacknife attempt? I know how some people here get a little touchy when someone calls it a jacknife attempt where the first kick isn't really defined. I know the second kick needs to get out and across a lot more, but I'm not all that sure if the first "kick" could be considered so. It does need a great deal of work, but I thought I would just get a little feedback. Also, any tips to refine it and make it a true jacknife are welcome.

hell, thats an attempt by my judging, haha. :good: i mean, of course it needs work, but its work-able, and thats the whole point, right?

Yeah. That's an attempt to me. (i'm only saying that because that's what mine look like.)
The first leg is ok in my opinion, a few trickzers are doing a perfect clean 540...but you need to work on the second one

I think the slightly bent first leg will screw you over to be honest. If the first kick aint a kick, then it aint a jacknife.
It's definitelyan attempt though, and a pretty good one. Nail that 540, try and round kick it aswell. It cuts 90 off the turn into the hook as it turns your hips over before the switch.
I also think that the second kick is ideally meant to go before the landing to make it 'pure'
Good luck! I can't do this move. I'm at the same stage as you.

If I try to jackknife, and end up doing a cork, it was still a jackknife "attempt".
