What settings do you guys use to save videos? Can I know the exact settings, prefferably from people who have high quality videos. I want to know what to use, as last attempt at a sampler with adobe pro premier was disastrous as the outcome was all jerky and it couldnt be fixed.

I first made a more detailed description but the quick reply took more than an hour and still wasn't posten :ogre:

this is how Alpha explained it to me:

in export settings make sure you select microsoft dvavi, the exported file for a 6min clip will be about 1gig

now download "auto gordian knot" (google it) and install it

compress the avi to xvid using the following settings:

target quality= 55
(now in advanced settings)
audio: cbr mp3 at 96kbps
video: 480 fixed width
codec: xvid

now add job and click start.

looking forward to your sampler! :good::cool:

Bah..I did it just like you said, and now the output video from agk is sped up a lot, but its the same length. The last 30 seconds or so is just the ending repeated over and over. I tried doing a couple different files, its always the same. Anyone know how to fix this, or has had it happen to them?

hmm...I don't have a clue of what you mean:smile: Can you maybe post the AGK vid so I can see how it looks?

This is what you did?:
- edit file video file in Adobe premiere pro 2.0
- go to "File" > "Export" > "Movie"
- Click on "Settings" > "General" > File Type : Microsoft DV AVI, Range: entire sequence, embedding options: Project.
- "Video" tab, Compressor: DV PAL, Recompress: Maintain data rate, frame rate: 25,00 FPS.
- Click "OK", then choose a name for your file and press "Save".

-Open Auto Gordian Knot
-step1: open your file
-step2: -
-step3: Target quality in percentage: 55%
-step4: "Advanced Settings" > Fixed width: 480, CBR Mp3 96 kbps, Codec: Xvid
- "Add Job", "Start" and wait

Did you have loads of still frames in the video? AGK can't seem to handle still frames that last for a long time, it just compresses them to a single frame duration. I have no idea how to fix it, i just edit videos and make sure they have either movement behind the text or slightly movement of the text, like drifting slowly down the screen or something.
