While I am sore/stiff from tricking, I've been doing two minutes of relaxed stretching, with no attempts to gain flexibility during this time. Is this the right thing to do?

I take it you mean DOMS? This question was answered in an earlier thread.
Stretch to maintain instead of gain when you are sore. Don't put any stress on pain when you are stretching through soreness, focus on relief.
At least that is what was said as far as I know.

branling works for everyone, branleh.
If your sore a little light stretching will help but it won't make any gains but it's still good to do.

hmm...I prefer doing very light dynamic stretches when I'm sore rather than relaxed stretching. Because relaxed/static stretching when sore feels so damn uncomfortable to me...could be me though:smile:
But I do think it is good to do relaxed stretching, even when sore, I just don't
