Sure thats pretty good for 2 years...but all in all he actually wasnt that good if you take out the time factor, double corks and whatnot just arent as impressive as they used to be, everyones got them... (except for me)

Truth! Just take what you can get from people maaaan, that's how I see it anyway. His double a-twist in particular was pretty magnificent.

the double cork and double b twist weren't anything amazing, because like other people have said so many people can do them now and show them in so many videos that they're no longer anything special

However the double aerial twist isn't too common, and looked lush

i still appreciate any dbl technique, because it is difficult. Especially if you have all three types of dbl twists.

Dbl corck, dbl btwist, and dbl atwist take LOADS of practice, and trial and error to get good.

No matter how many people land them Ill still appreciate it the same because of how difficult it really is.

Another thing this implies (im not sure if im spelling correctly tonight lol) is that theres alot more trickers training harder than before. That is a very motivating thing, because this means tricks/tricking is going to get much more difficult from here on out...

I agree, the fact that more people are doing it doesn't make it easier, just, more people are doing it, either way it is difficult. It's annoying how people scoff at someone's skills just because they're landing double corks and double btwists, or because they're "doing what everyone else is doing". I hope to get those tricks one day too, not because I wanna be as good as everyone else doing them, but because it's hard, and training for it is a nice goal to reach physically, or some shit.

Are we going to count a doublefull as part of the double line up? It's more gymnastics but it sure is just as impressive.

BboyAgua
Feb-12-07, 05:36 AM
whats a "double line up." can my double faceplant be on it? seriously tho, i think jono from team E is crazy with doubles. i seen double back, double front, double cork, double full left, and double full right. alot of legit moves are doubles now, cant wait to see all of em tripled.

and does anis his double atwist anymore? i dont even remember any of his aerials.

SickPanda
Feb-12-07, 07:50 AM
lol even though more people can do alot of the "double" moves, it's still a really low percentage of people who trick who can do them. it's like how probly thousands of gymnasts worldwide can do double backs, but you go to any small->midsize gym and most often there's like 2 or 3 of the 100 people who go there regularly who can do them.

Feb-12-07, 10:35 AM
Yeah I agree, to say it's now the norm wouldn't be right but I definetly agree more people are doing them than before.

I'm sure in the near future it'll approach a norm but only for anybody that's been sticking to it long enough, and seeing as more and more people are getting involved in this activity, everything will just keep increasing.

I don't think double a-twists are as pretty.

The vid is down poo. :(

I don't fully understand the difference between a double A twist and a Double B twist. I was told an A twist is an inverted btwist. To me they don't look that different.

Skilzat85X
Feb-12-07, 12:18 PM
They aren't different. I've even seen Wushu practitioners perform the double a-twist like an inverted double b-twist. To stall and "gyro" an a-twist for a double a-twist is almost impossible.

a-twist is and aerial twist.....b-twist is a butterfly twist. or so i heard, if not then i stand corrected.

the youtube link is not working :(

what? one is horizontal and one is(should be) verticle

this is tricks not wushu, our btwist and atwist techniques are mad different.

Lies! You must misunderstand me. Or maybe you don't. Hmm, it depends
What is an a-twist then, by your interpretation?

One is horizontal and one is vertical. If you invert something you're supposed to make it vertical. Well sorta, it depends on the move. CONFUSING.
Yes, any a-twist variation (heck, any AERIAL) variation should be by vertical, and every butterfly variation should be horizontal.

And I have seen Wushu practitioners perfrom double A-twists. VIDEO TIME.

Bada buh buh bah THERE we are at 2:36.
Excellent example, for he does a (540 gyro preceded) Double b-twist THEN a double a-twist.

That is basically what I was talking about, and they both look quite proper to me. :good:

he doesnt even land the ddouble atwist haha

Feb-12-07, 02:58 PM
Ummm yes he does. I have the original video that clip came from.
Besides, since when do you think there's a difference between the two?
You're the one that said an aerial twist is just a btwist where you headbutt the ground...

What Haime said: .

Your doublebtwist could be a little better if you keep your legs straight at the end. The thing I always tell people going for them is to land with your hands on your chest, so that you know you're not cheating yourself out of that extra rotation

Bravo sir!

I hate atwists, i still dont understand the stall for that move sometimes i get it sometimes i dont. I understand the gainerfull completly stalled which looks like a kick full, you just kick up until your going to die then twist....sigh.. maybe someday ill get it...
