i hope this is the right section, but anyways. What muscles should you improve to be better at tricking, i know abs and legs, but any more, and do you have any excercised for me to work on other than push ups and sit ups, cause thats all i can think of at the mo :(

Squats
Lunges
Push Ups
Sit Ups
Crunches
Skipping (its gay but it helps)
Sprints
Frog Jumps
(of the top of my head, some things you can do at home)

Your horsepower is located on 3 muscles.

GLUTES, HAMSTRINGS, QUADRICEPS. Whoever doesn't know that or doubt it, has a lot to learn.

And whoever mentions that calves is a power-producing muscle again, think twice.

A strong upper body (back/shoulders) helps too

i'm not going to disagree that the other muscles are much more important usually...but if you're at a level where you are needing those extra few inches out of your setup/doing technical transitions like misslegs and popping out of a doubleleg-type landing, calf strength and proper utilization thereof is pretty damn important

edit: i'd rate abs and lower back more important than anything in your legs, but this is just in my experience and i'm a twist-based tricker anyway

no, dont confuse eccentric strength and elastic energy with calves (from the achilles tendon with calves).

Calves just participate in the triple extension movements (they do not produce the power behind the movement).

Core and lower back, is of course where all the forces are stabilized and its of utmost importance.
You dont get core strength by doings abs (sits ups and crunches)

Yeah. Let's underline this part.

No matter how you cut it the calves are not an integral part of your ability to jump or rebound. They act as an accelerator in the absolute last milliseconds of the jump and that's it. Both starting and reactive strength comes from above the knee.
