I've been trying the btwist on and off and I just can't seem to land it. The twist [feels] natural but the take off doesn't and I'm obviously going wrong if I can't place a landing.

Well I'm no btwist expert but I think you're not letting your right leg go high/long enough. Try to stall it a bit longer and keep the right leg more straight.
And man I hate ppl who give you the eye when you're practising moves.

Dip DOWN then come up strong and simultaneously lift that back leg higher. The rest should be easy.

it might help not to bend your left leg so much, because when you bend it more than you're bending your right, it causes you to rotate off axis and you "travel" further than you want to, so your ass ends up where your head should have been. Dip, kick up high, and think of wrapping your left leg around your right.
Also, straighter legs make spinning easier, as you're more compact. So does wrapping with your arms. = )

You place your feet much too close together. Widen your stance upon takeoff for a nice dip.
The first clip wasn't so bad though, you could have landed it with a little more effort from your lifting leg into the move.
It's nice to see something from you anyways.

first clip you spin fast but dont go high enough in second you go high enough but spin really really slow. just make sure you dip down then bring your right leg right up and lift you head up as well and then wrap in and you will spin faster that way :)

Thats a kool attempt, another thing is jump UP HIGH HIGH HIGH. and with the dip and takeoff advice youve been given stall slightly, Your hardly getting high enough, and dont shit out, You start the spin then worry about your landing man just jump higher and dont worry^^ Commit to the spin, You want the spin to be fast and smooth so you have plenty of time to fall into the land.
Thats how i do mine anyways
