View Full Version : Combo
Just a couple of ground tips for comboing..... ..........like the almighty prince of darkness RAGGGGHHHHHH!
1. Trick for straightness, combo for curves.
Basically don't get caugt up going in a line. Done well it looks great, too slow and you will look like a complete noob.
2. Practice combo's till they're fast.
3. Never step.. .. KICK!
normal steps in the middle of a combo don't look good; try a cresent instead:smile:
4. Flow and keep the pace and style constant.
No point being fast and aggressive if your b twist makes you look like a lame duck.
5. Copy and TRICK
do what your other favourite trickers are doing.
Enjoy combo today, look cool tommorrow.
Peace out - Fin :fiji:

I don't agree with tip number one. For example, if you do a spin hook-cheat720twist, and you don't get the full rotation and extension out of the spin hook, it will severely comprimise the body posistioning needed to get a powerful takeoff for the cheat720twist. In fact, one of the most important gauges of knowing if your spin hook is correct is if you make a complete rotation and end up facing the direction you started with. You don't want to go only 270 degrees in the spon hook, because you'll be sacrificing power. Basically, going in a straight line means you're getting the full rotation and extension out of all of your tricks.

I find it odd that you would make a thread telling people how to combo having recently posted this:
Oh My God I am so angry with myself. Every time I try a fucking back flip i go over my right shoulder.
:ogre:
FUCK!
:smashed:
Any tips for getting balanced on the spin?
HELP PLEASE!!!!!
Plus, much of your advice is questionable.
he cud possibly be a godly trickster and yet not have the ability to tuck

There are lots of excellent trick(st)ers that can't do the backtuck, sure it's good but you can be a good trick(st)er without it.

do what your other favourite trickers are doing.
totally disagree with that, u should do your own thing, how u think u need to be doing ur moves/combo's if u dont try to do that, u'll just be another regular tricker.

I was thinking this too, but I guess copying what you think looks really cool and trying to make your moves like that would be good for training purposes.
Ripping off someones entire combo repertoire in your sampler would not be cool though. An homage here or there is okay.

yeah ofcourse u cant be totally original , but you could damn well try haha.
copying combo's is gaymax. watching how people do their transitions to make urs better nothing wrong with that. i have watched ALOT of samps in the time im tricking now, slowing them down watching every frame for learning purposes.
but from there u gotta make it ur own haha. or atleast try
