View Full Version : Conditioning Music

The muay thai class that I want to take has a lot of emphasis on condition especially running. So I was looking for some good rock songs with good music, little or no hardcore screamo, and just basicly ones that get your adreneline pumping. Any suggestions?

I just got back from seeing He is Legend, Chimaira, Dragonforce, and Killswitch Engage. It was pretty good, too bad Dragonforce and all power metal in general never sounds as good live as it does in studio versions of songs.

Except Sonata Arctica and Kamelot, those two are fantastic live bands; Gamma Ray was pretty awesome live as well. IN THE VALLEY OF THE KIIIIIIIIIIIINGS
Dragonforce sucks horribly live, though. Just a long continuous noise, full of screwing up by Sam Totman and unused minitramps on stage. The hair-fan thing is pretty neat, though.

Yeah if you ever get the chance, go see em. I'm seeing them play with Leaves' Eyes twice in September, and then Sonata Arctica twice a week later. Yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ;D

Yea, the show was made more awkward by them following up Chimaira. People just didn't know how to react to them after having moshed for half an hour. It reminded me of this one concert I saw with Trivium being sandwiched between Amon Amarth and Children of Bodom.

And I'm pretty sure that bastard guitarist (the non-Jap one) was drunk before their set even started. I would advise the Japanese guitarist to get out while he still can, that poor guy looked like the only one that cared about the performance.

I haven't seen Sonata Arctica, Kamelot, or Gamma Ray live; Dragonforce was my first live power metal experience :dead: unless you categorize Children of Bodom into "extreme power metal" or "thrash power metal" or some crap like that

Haha, COB rocks live. They played with Amon Amarth here too, except it went Gojira- Amon Amarth- COB. Good show. Gamma Ray was awesome live, Kai Hansen was playing guitar, singing, and smoking at the same time haha. Sonata Arctica and Kamelot are just godly live. Edguy's decent live. Hammerfall is...Hammerfall...haha. Hard to take seriously but still good musicians. Stratovarius was good live. And uhh...*insert band here* was good too.

The best part is when he starts singing along. The way I figure, if I don't bash the people who do military presses seated, I guess I shouldn't bash this. It would be good for 'lazy legs' bboyer.

A lot. I had 17 concerts lined up for this year but some fell through, while others appeared. Besides, I always buy at least 1 overpriced shirt there as a memory, then cut off the sleeves and it becomes a workout shirt :punched:

Oh you cruelly honest man.
Meh, he's only 14. Most 14 year olds don't have much capacity for bulkedness.
But still, good call.
Mars Volta isn't exactly what pumps me up. If it works for Reid, go him.
Steve what do you weigh nowadays? What are your big 3? How many infants have you murdered?

My "big 3" haha. I am 175 pounds, and by "big 3" (cop out) lifts are 265 bench, 365 squat, and 375 deadlift. I haven't murdered any infants unless you count all the times I've masturbated.
