heya peeps !!!!!!
i have no martial arts or gymnastics xp and i want to start tricking so tht in a few few months time i can perform in front of ppl
i have been doing athletics at a county stage for a few years now so i im quite fit but not very flexible i
i stumbled across tricking on youtube and though WoW i wander if i could do that
my first question is whats the very first thing i should do and how hard shall train
i have set out some goals for the summer 5 months time
1.cartwheel (got to start some where)
2. handstand
3.roundoff
4.backhandspring
5.backflip
6.aerial
7. my dream doing a wall flip
so do i have a chance ?
btw this is the second because i put it in the wrong room im sorry i tryd to delete the other 1 but couldnt sorry again
train by trying... if yu cant cartwheel... just practicse fuck loads
your never gonna hurt yourself with a cartwheel or handstand.. and if you do your a twat... so just go for it. make sure you get a quality cartwheel. i would put in one handed cartwheels before aerials and probably beforeroundoffs.

I posted this for someone else. *Copy/Pastes*
Welcome! Okay, first off, read every article on the
main site. Be sure to read the flexibility section as well, flexibility is a must if you don't want to get injured/look good.
Than, go to Kyukodo Gaz's site and click "Videos", than celebrity tutorials. Read the introduction and get the "Tricking 101" and "Kicking 101" .doc files that Gaz mentioned. Or just click the following:
Tricking 101 Series
Tricking 101
Kicking 101
Read them (no shit).
Proceed to download each and every one of Dogen's tutorials (Center of Gravity, Conditioning, and Blocking are probably the most useful for a complete beginner, but they're all useful). I'm feeling nice, so links:
Dogen Tutorials
Center of Gravity
Blocking
Conditioning
J-Step/Gainer Review
You can do without the others for now, I suppose.
For help on individual tricks and not just tricking as a whole, TKD_Andy's help vids are invaluable (in my opinion). Help vids for the basic moves:
Andy's Help Vids
360 Crescent
540 Kick
Aerial
Aerial II
Backflip
Doubleleg
Doubleleg II
More important than just watching the tutorials over and over is just gettin gyour ass out and tossing the move. People seem to think that if there isn't a tutorial or help vid for a particular trick, than they can't learn it. No, just find a clip of the move, watch the trick, and do it. So, instead of turning your b-kick into a b-twist by sitting down and studying every aspect of the move, just go out and b-kick, but twist. Simple. Of course it's not going to be that easy, but it doesn't hurt to approach moves like that.
As to what you should learn first, that question's answer varies from person to person. Do you want to place a strong emphasis on kicks? Flips? Twists? Aerial based manuevers? Personally, I'd recommend the 540 Kick, Aerial, and Backflip. From there, the B-twist is a nice addition. The 360 Crescent should also be high on the list, but it's not nearly as difficult as the others, so you won't spend as much time on it.
The six basic moves (As listed on the main site...why am I typing this out for you?) are as follows:
360 Crescent
540 Kick
Aerial
Backflip
Butterfly Twist
Doubleleg
The prerequisites for the aforementioned tricks are as follows:
Inside crescent/Spin Hook
Outside crescent/Round kick
Cartwheel
...Uh, a spotter?
B-kick
360 Crescent
[Respectively]
Yes. Now get your ass out and trick.
EDIT: Of course get the Bollocks Kick as well.
EDIT: Sorry the links don't work man. Here's the sites:

I don't know if I already wrote this, but I don't have time to make sure.
Learn the aerial. It helps with completely unrelated moves like the flash kick (or it helped me). Learn it good, and learn it quickly.
Backflip/Wallflip are easy as hell, they'll take you no time at all to get down once you're over the fear.
Roundoff is pretty much free, it doesn't take that much practice. Take it off your list, couple it with cartwheel (I'd do that, but I'm not always right).
Learn the 540. Don't ask, just do it.

In plain english, get the 540, 360 Crescent and aerial real good.
Young sir, there's a flaw in your ideology. Do NOT trick to impress other people, anyway there's no chance you'll be able to do anything that impressive in a few months..
Hmm with no experience, I'd go for these goals instead:
1)find someone to trick with (preferably someone with experience)
2)learn to cartwheel WELL
3)learn to tornado kick WELL
4)stretch ALOT (flexibility = essential for good tricks)
5)uuuuhhhh yeah those can get you started off..
There's nothing wrong with tricking to impress people. If everybody only tricked for themselves, then there would be no samplers. I'll be the first to admit that I love to show off.
But anyway, the most important thing to start with is stretching, increasing vertical, and conditioning your joints. If I could start over, I'd have taken a few months to do these and then start tricking.
Good luck and happy tricking!
i guarantee you get wallflip second try...
i did.
before i had standing backtucks.
After you get tornado kick, Get a 360 cresent and butterfly kick.
