540hook help

Weather was pretty good today so i decided i would go try some 540hooks.

As you can see its pretty crap, some advice would be nice xD

dud that a pop 720 not 540 hook
your jumping of both legs
try kicking, your pumping is nice just kick!

you don't need to pump in a pop720 ...you are stoping the rotation with it. try to keep your arms up high too.

well i originally wanted to get a 540 hook but seems ive got something else, if i wanted to change it to a 540 hook what would i need to do?

Id say, probably listen to both Dragonic Mike and Poliver on this one and try a cheat set up or just try a 720 double.

Actually, that is very close to a 540hook. Here's what needs to be done:

The takeoff: NONE of these kicks were ever meant to start with your back to the camera, clean the takeoff up so that you're sideways (and for the 540hook, you should be right side back so that your chest is facing left to someone who is watching the video)

the spin: there is nothing wrong with your spin at all. The more practice you get, the easier it will be to add power/precision into the whole move!

the kick: clean the kick up on the ground. Make the kick look great without the jump and then the goal will be to make the exact same kick come out on any outward kick!



how to do it: I would say go back down and start smaller. This example is also pretty close to a 360hook, why not practice that one for a while until you get it down with the kick and all? Keep up the good work!
