How do you find your legs when you're flipping in the air? I can't seem to tuck and I don't get enough rotation and end up landing on my butt.

Hmm, make sure you are taking off from both feet insead of mainly on one foot. Pull your legs up tight... Really tight. When you are spinning, even if you think you are holding your legs in close, they are not really that far in when you first start. To find your legs, you should just be able to act like you're giving someone shorter than you a hug... you should hit them with your arms. If you don't try to pull them in closer to your body.

EDIT:
For the not enough rotation, make sure your arms are above you... that gives you extra height. Youtube is a decent place to find tutorials on it also.

What above said ^

Also, if it seems like you all your efforts are dismal I would try something new. I had the same problem of landing on my ass for aggges and simply tried doing a different take off (russian) where the arms are pulled behind and upwards and then i tucked behind my knees and it helped heaps as I landed it.

Experiment, find out whats good for you, make sure your knowledge of the trick is good, explore all learning avenues (tutorials, asking people, etc.) and then just work with it.

Good luck man!

Thanks guys! I can tuck now! I just need to focus on looking forward when jumping and doing a smaller hop.

How Far should the hop be? Is 1 1/2 feet too far?
