Try it. See if you get results but don't believe everything you read on the net. Try to from multiple sources that say the same thing.

Doing high number of reps and sets at 60% of RPM develops muscle endurance. Which is improving your muscle mass. I am not totally sure. Do some more research. Anyways, there is no real way to build muscle mass fast yet. The only advise I can give you is eat lots, train hard and do a lot of reading.

Well, if the internet said it is so...
You how your muscles get inflated when you do lots of muscle work? Get more of that, then eat.

Yes. 3 sets of 8 done close to failure or to failure with 2-3 compound exercises per muscle group once per week would be a very standard approach to hypertrophy.
If you want to build muscle though, you then need to eat enough.

Then sleep.
This thread is bad news for at least one person involved in it.

I have loads of syn in me. I even have it both with a 'Y' and with an 'I'. Twice the fun.

You know what confused the hell out of me? My biology book acknowledged that we have steroids, but said that the term 'anabolic steroids' refers to artificial (man-made) steroids that simulate our natural steroids and they all have horrible side effects.
I was surprised at its ignorance.
After all, 'anabolic' should refer to our naturally produced steroids too, right? All it means is that it stimulates creating body mass rather than destroying it for energy or whatever.
There has to be a more accurate term for the man-made sort, many of which probably don't have side effects inherantly. Some probably only have side effects when taken to excess. Our bodies have safeguards which stop prevention of excess hormones generally, whereas injection doesn't, sort of like how diabetics can inject too much insulin and go into diabetic shock.
Injection wouldn't be negative if you had some kind of condition where you weren't able to produce enough hormones, which happens to a lot of people as they age (or some kind of genetic or environmental defect). I bet a slight excess wouldn't be harmful either, it's just when people start getting 2-10x more than the average guy has that it gets harmful and weird and testes-shrinking.
well I'm pretty sure those books were writting for people in there teens and early twenties who have naturally higher testosterone anyway... which means that taking an anabolic steroid to raise your natural test. levels would result in your testosterone being completly out of balance, causing you go undergo hormone replacement therapy and deal with terrible acne for the rest of your life

What's with the acne-hormone relation anyway? Acne confuses me. I guess it produces too much oil, and then bacteria feeds on the oil, which is normally okay cept it gets trapped in your pore and then it gets inflamed when your immune system starts suiciding to kill the bacteria and then your lymphatic system sucks ass at clearing out the puss (white blood cell wreckage) and so that builds up too.
Hey since exercise stimulates the lymphatic system, and also makes you sweat which you would assume would clean out your pores a bit (when heated, pores open more) along with maybe cleaning off some excess oil and also people bathe after they sweat which helps clean it too. So you'd think exercise would help reduce acne.
Although there are still athletic people with acne so maybe it's not the whole story. A lot of people say nutrition, others say it's effect is minimal, blah. Exfoliation can help unplug pores clogged with dead skin cells mixed with oil, and scrubbing can perform some degree of exfoliation, while at the same time other ppl say 'don't scrub it makes it worse' although I don't understand why.

EDIT* Also, exfoliating scrub= godly like figure for my skin. So don't listen to them.
when your body produces too much oil, the body has trouble breaking it down to use throughout the skin, which means it rises to the surface, get's all bacterialized, and become nasty acne
