Due to the influx of threads on Moonkicks and the harsh critique of its technique, I decided to make a little exampler of it's execution. The video attached to this post gives you:
1.) general information about the Moonkick (prereqs.)
2.) how to cultivate a Gainer into a Moonkicking position
3.) the final product, The Moonkick
Note: like everything else I post, there is a hidden message within the exampler...

great!! Thanks to this tutorial i've landed mine on the first try on grass!
Done it 3 times after that and landed those to!!! =D
Oh yeah.. my first real trick has been accomplished!
hidden message!
only thing i can see is where the text comes up and has the lyrics at the end, "Game is masculinity pimpin' we not pretendin'"
Which differs from my sources which say "Gainin' his masculinity pimpin' we not pretendin'"
gain! gainer! yes it all fits now... wrong lyrics? Or something more...

Wow, cool! I've always thought of a moonkick like an un-inverted gainer flash, with some kinda' kick at the end. Now I understand why you said that a GFlash was a prerequisite for a moonkick.
I've never thought of a moonkick like that, I've always thought of it as an uninverted gainer flash.. :eh: Nice tut though it was very useful none the less..:good:
haha i just saw the sick double leg twist in the other video because of this crazy.
セッショウマルさん。。。ありがとう御座います。
Tight vid, thanx for throwing it together for all of us Sess. :good:

folha secca = moonkick (literally) = gflash. being a capoeirista before a tricker sure makes the terminology confusing for me. i give up.
the tut was good... weird...which means extra good.

Glad everyone enjoyed the exampler. Hopefully this will give the rest of the community sone insight on how a "good" Moonkick should look.
Wow Sess u can explain so dam good just perfect discription :p is mine good btw?
The one in your avatar that appears after the Gfull? Yeah, that one is fine! Yours kinda turn towards the inside alot, which makes the kick come down more like an axe kick, but that's all good! What's important is that the hips turn over and that the kick comes out.

I fucking hate youtube. Since I never got to see this, a moonkick is basically just a slantgainer hook right?
