View Full Version : Chest
Just wanting to know peoples' opinions. With perfect form on either exercise, what do you think works better for chest exercises: Dumbbells or Bench press?
On another note, what is this Plasmavol shit everyone is talking about?

I guess dumbells allows you somemore freedom for shaping but they work best combined...
"Plasmavol!" is the most potent anabolic compound known to man...

There is no best. Use both. Alternate week to week or in a single session.
Use both.
Use plasmavol in conjunction with chest exercises to REALLY get that pump!
just use plasmavol... you'll have a huge thick defined chest in no time

One thing I like to do is do a set of bench, then immediately do dumbell press with less weight and double the reps. I keep the dumbells handy by the bench so I can keep doing it between regular bench press sets. The pump feels pretty good, but you can't go real heavy on your bench this way. I like training with high volume though, so that's cool.

Are there any natural ways of developing chest muscles?
by natural I mean just using your body, no weights.
Plasmavol is damn natural..
Otherwise, use the stickied thread for push-ups.
Is this what I should get:

I trained chest so hard Monday that on my drive home, I had to scratch my nose... and I couldn't bring my hand up far enough. Crazy.
The workout we did was something like this:
Started warm up with ab exercises then began chest.
Yoga ball pushups (hands on the yoga ball, crazy stabilization required)
2 sets of 15
Incline bench press
4 sets: 12 7 7 9(or to failure)
Using dumbells, laying flat on your back pushing straight up
3 sets: 9 9 12
Using dumbells, incline flys
4 sets: 9 9 12(or to failure, I did 20)
Uneven pushups
2 sets of 15, alternating sides in between
I know I'm leaving something out, that was straight from memory. If I really am leaving something out, I'll post corrections tomorrow. Also, I don't know the correct terms for some of the exercises, so forgive me.

Have you ever heard of push-ups?
Also, your body cannot tell the difference between a bodyweight exercises and a weight-training one. Resistance is resistance. There is nothing magical or more "natural" about bodyweight.

I think Bruce Lee actually used Plasmavol in addition to pushups. That's how he got his abs and lats. No joke.
