So, I was practicing my front 180's at my local gym when one of the gym trainer ladies told me I wasn't doing front 180's, I was doing a "Bronnie." I asked her what that was and she said it's basically a cartwheel with no hands but I was under the impression that that was called an aerial. Is it the same thing just aerial is tricker language or what? And I was most definitely not doing an aerial... :S

In saying, "It's a cartwheel with no hands", she was most probably referring to the torso movement rather than the 1 foot takeoff/landing.
In the terminology I use the "front 180" you were doing would be called a barani (punch no handed roundoff).
A true 'front 180' should be a frontflip halftwist. i.e. the twist should be initiated at the height of the move rather than a quarter turn in quarter turn out (like a cartwheel).
Never heard the term 'bronnie' before though. :eh:
Edit: Just realised, maybe she was just saying barani in a retarded voice.

front twisting techniques are so confusing
i spin in barani one way, and in front half the other way and i always thought that i spined one way =S just time when i initiated the twist was different
i want a front full but i just can't land it, i've tried to add a twist in a barani and in front half but i just land on my butt i even can spin two fulltwists but also landing on my butt

This is natural.
Some gymnastics places call aerials barani's. Tricksters call no-handed roundoffs brandies. Gymnasts and tumblers usually call front half twists baranis.
For your front full, don't think of it as a barani/front half and then another half twist. It should be one continuous twisting motion, just like a back full. When you do a back full, if you try to do a back half and then do a half turn it gets ugly and difficult and you fail. The same applies for all types of twisting.
