i have a strange problem with backflips, i can't get my arms up when i jump up, well i allways try to throw them up but they stick to the side, like it's some kind of fear, don't know....

i think my backflips are low because of my arms...

this may sound scary to you but look down at the floor and try and swing your arms past your ears and jump fully upwards before tucking.

Quite impressive that u actually make it around with that height!

And as Shengoikee says, jump up and stall then tuck! It's not that hard, try get a spotter if ure afraid!:good:

practise your standing tuck jumps!

also another good tip for this is to do BHS, they'll get you used to swinging your arms.

keep your arms by your ears the entire time

btw thats a hypertwist not a hyperswipe

i mean, why don't i go straight up, my chest is reaching forward...
because you don't keep your arms by your ears the entire time

thx for that :) that should fix it :)

@ TKD andy: well it's a slanted hypertwist, it's a mix between a hypertwist and a hyperswipe sinds i kick overhead

lol i explained this before: you're kicking over your head because you're crunching up as you come into land, if you didnt crunch up you'd be completely level throughout.

its a cool hypertwist, but you need to work on throwing that back leg UP like an aerial to get it inverted :good:

Btw, im doing these a bit at the mo, i can get mine inverted from the start, but not inverted enough.

shiiiiiiiiit man, talk about a bad habit, work it on a trampoline and work it RIGHT, seriously that is the absolute lowest landed backflip i've seen and i'm on a cheerleading team with several grade 9 girls doing them.

just find a gym or a friend with a trampoline, then get spotted or a matt and hardcorely focus on something and think nothing else but "Jump, Swing arms as far as i can backwards, then tuck"

My backflip looked almost the same as yours a year or so ago and now this is http://www.uploadhouse.com/fileuploads/36/36731058691e6ccca83ce308e4ab88b2988cc.gif
