View Full Version : Specific backflip advice
I decided that I would rejoin this forum when I had the balls to try the backflip. Now I can almost land it, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong, so any help or advice would be great, thanks. btw, this is my first trick and i'm still noob.

they dont look bad for first tries, just throw your ams up higher. might want to tuck a little tighter as well. :good:

Jump before you start to tuck. Make sure you reach your peak, the first few were better, but the last two, you tucked too soon, limiting your height.

its all your legs, your arms and head position are VERY good, but you are stalling with completely bent legs and tucking straight off the ground, the simple thing you need to do is concentrate on fully extending your legs then tucking and with a little bit of practice it will be great
(to make my advice a little more credible) heres my b-flip

nah, its been winter so I've only been able to practice in my gym at cheerleading, so though my tumbling is much better (working triple fulls and once i get some balls, double backs, my tricks on the other hand, gainer, 540 etc are the same. buuuuuuut, spring is just around the corner and though i couldnt tell during the winter, there is an AWESOME park about 200 ft from my backdoor.

I had a big problem with getting my knees up, for training I started doing knee raises (not for getting the back tucks) but all of a sudden pulling up my knees is no problem. Now its off to work on my jumps
